Important information about studying in Canada

Learn more about intake dates, application deadlines, student visas and English language requirements before applying to a University or College in Canada.

• Main intake in September each year with a second intake in January or February (rolling intake for some graduate programs and institutions)
• Application deadline for September intake is March/April – earlier for more competitive courses
• Minimum visa requirements – Acceptance form from your chosen university, application fee and evidence of financial ability to cover costs (tuition and living expenses. Find out more on the Canada Citizenship and Immigration website or contact a StudyLink counsellor
• Preferred English language test is TOEFL. IELTS is also widely accepted.
